Plant Breeding and Genetics

College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences

The broad expertise of faculty and the active plant breeding programs at The Ohio State University make it a great place to study the science of plant breeding. Using a combination of field-based, genomic and molecular technologies, plant breeders work to develop new and improved varieties that are productive, profitable, and adapted to their, often changing, environment.
