Field Research Stations

Field Station Resources

Testing plant varieties in the field is a necessary component of the plant breeding pipeline. Often times, multiple years and locations are required to effectively phenotype how a new variety will perform under different conditions. Plant breeders at The Ohio State University have access to field locations on the Columbus and Wooster campuses, as well as numerous agriculture research stations, representing the different growing conditions found in Ohio.
